It’s going to be a helluva day in the newsrooms today. With the latest developments from Westminster.

Noted very senior coverage from BBC World News yesterday, with David Eades, Matthew Amroliwala, Geeta Guru-Murthy and Ros Atkins all anchoring the same bulletin between them from different locations. And it was seemlessly done.

Until we got May’s speech with the sound/vision VERY BADLY out of synch.

College Green has become Newsland again. Giving the protestors a field day.

Only managed to see the BBC Coverage, which I thought was very good (apart from the small glitch above).

I’m not an ITN viewer, so I missed Boulton’s inadvertent swearing which was picked up by an ITN mic at Downing Street.

For some reason, yes. Using the NC graphics.

Is it so the News Channel can cover the PM's Speech in full at 10:30? does VD have to be an hour long?

Watching this reminds me why I hate VD so much. I want proper news of breaking developments right now, not watching a bunch of people arguing and talking crap in a studio.

Christ, another Cabinet Minister resigns and VD is too busy telling people to shut up and stop talking over each other.

BBC World News has Phillipa Thomas live outside Westminster with GMT however at the top introducing it as BBC News.

Says something when World is giving better coverage of domestic events than the news channel.
