So this week the government goes to court to try and overturn a ruling which suggests that the Primeminister is answerable to a parliamentary democracy and isn't a dictator who can do what she wants unchecked. And unlike regular court cases this one can be broadcast live, with it scheduled to take place from Monday to Thursday from around 10.15am to 4pm each day.

It will be online here but anyone know if the BBC or Sky have any plans confirmed. Will they let it dominate the news channels with what will probably actually be rather mindnumbing legal argument or will they just use the edited highlights. BBC Parliament would be the obvious outlet for it but there is nothing scheduled and as parliament is still in session I think they're obliged to show what is happening there, even if something more politically important is happening elsewhere.

Also with no verdict expected until January the one crucial moment of the whole event isn't going to happen this week, unless something dramatic happens which sees the case dismissed.

I've seen a promo going out on the BBC News channel with Ben Brown (filmed in the Supreme Court chamber in fact) saying to tune in this week for continuing coverage. Other than that i've not seen anything else.

Sky News has been plugging it regularly into breaks as from 10am on Monday.

The BBC will have a nightly summary programme, 15 minutes at 19:30. The whole thing will be online and they will cover the key moments live on the news channel according to the trailer I've seen.

I like that design - very reminiscent of the flags era.

That's nice, it quite like how it suggests the EU breaking up sort of. Any chance this could replace the L referendum logo?

They've been using this new Brexit logo on the studio screens - when introducing Brexit-related reports - for a few weeks now.

I agree that it looks good.

Looks a UKIP MEP who's been punched out with his tie flipped up over his face.

Watching the highlights on BBC News, Ben Brown seems to be stood next to a newspaper seller/town crier, and whenever they show clips from the hearing there is the sound of someone tapping very loudly on a laptop throughout. Hope they sort these things out overnight.

A post worthy of Rob Schneider.

In any case, Sky have their highlights programme at 9.30pm of what is otherwise filler for the news channels.
