Apparently the set list was changed at the last minute after Grande met the mother of one of the victims who said her daughter would want to hear the hits.

I was having a conversation with someone from Manchester who made the point that there would have been lots of people their from other parts of the UK affected too, could tonight you not feel a little bit ignored if you're from Cardiff and Leeds.
I wouldn't think this would need explaining - Manchester is the focus because it was the place where the attack happened, but there has been plenty of talk about the victims so I would fully epxect those people to feel included.
You 'guess' it's not a bad thing? It's been organised incredibly quickly and has been pitched just about perfectly. If the artists get a bit of free punlicity so what. I'm no fool, I understand how these things work. What I'm seeing is the wonderful similing faces of those who are there at the front (those who were there when the attack happened), the dancing police, the stories of those who have been touched by tonight. It's part of the healing process for a lot of people so, once again, take your cynicism somewhere else. You must have a very strange outlook on the world not to see the good that tonight has done for so many.

If it raises money for those affected and cheers people up, I guess it's not a bad thing, but to think there aren't managers of these artists rubbing their hands in glee thinkings it's great publicity then you are fool sir.

Ariana herself said this on stage, Olivia's Mum told her 'she'd wanted to have heard the hits'.

Yup. Im actually surprised it only went 10 mins over.
I don't think you need buzz feed to be able to guess there's a good chance of this running over. I could've told you that as soon as it was announced.

No I've not said it wasn't a good thing, as I've said I'm questioning the motives of some involved. Please don't tell people not voice certain opinions. I was more thinking aloud, if this is just going to be a live blog we may as well lock the thread as that isn't what a forum is for.

One minor niggle seemingly Ariana Grande's production team were recorded as the copyright holders in the final credit. I trust that's just for the record purposes and has no lasting 'ownership' and 'financial relevance' in any future exploitation of the material.
Was a superb effort, Scooter Braun and Ariana should be congratulated.

I think it's more to do with an obsession with a word or geographical place on the map, rather than the actual people affected. I'm not saying famous people don't care or shouldn't be allowed to, but to me I felt a bit like there might be a lack of sincerity. That may very well have been the wrong impression but as a viewer this is how it came across to me at least initially.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, just as I'm entitled to say some here are being incredibly cynical in thinking this concert was organised to protect "Brand Grande". I'm not a fan in particular but something that has become clear to me since the attack is how this is standard Ariana Grande and typical of her interaction and love shared between her fans.

Do you give to charity? if so why? what's your motive? Do you really care or is it simply to make yourself feel better?
