Also how much was it going to cost to update the building? Also was the building being used to its full use? A few programmes highlighted the fact it had three dinning rooms and its just one with two mothballed. What else is mothballed just before TVC was sold off? Look at New broadcasting house, all the news under one roof and it looks so much better.

TROGGLES
The rumours and myths about TVC closure are taken as facts - much of the process has since been shown to be lies and smoke and mirrors.

All but one of the studios were fitted out for HD & were booked up until the last day of availability. The recommended plan by the consultancy group which the BBC commissioned recommended retaining all studios and selling off the redundant part of the site.

Thompson was custodian of the BBC and sold us all down the river and then left the country.

Some questions still need to be looked at over how the Media covered this story.

First off the BBC know there was something not right, and kept clive on air past 11.15 when newsnight was suppose to appear. Yet it chain of command wasn't in place at that time off night. It took nearly 2h 20mins before all of BBC one took the news channel feed and started to highlight the event. Westminster attack at on BBC one with 40mins.

ITV, What would have taken for it to come back on air? Was it really just after everyone had gone home?

Will there be a review for such things? What happens if the queens passes away at 2am and the news breaks at 5am?

There is a big difference. The Westminster attack took place in clear public view in the street, in the middle of the day, in London, and it was immediately obvious what went on.

The Manchester attack took place within a venue, late at night, it wasn't clear what had gone on, and didn't become clear what it was until many hours later. If it had been an industrial accident as first thought where some equipment blew up, you wouldn't clear the BBC One schedule.

It won't happen that way and your main complaint seems to be that it took a while to go to the news. That won't be an issue at 5am

The BBC Three twitter page has a timeline of events that night. It takes about 20 minutes from the explosion to GMP first mention that something's not right at the arena. The newsrooms seeing all those tweets in the first 30 minutes would have been well aware that something very serious had happened.

Plus any news about the Queen's death would be embargoed to allow news organisations to prepare to break it, surely.

Comparisons could be made to the 7/7 attacks. Did BBC One/ITV1 come on air on the back of the initial 'power surge' report or wait until it was fully confirmed as a terrorist incident, plus of course it was very clear when the bus happened.

It was quite clear by 11pm that there was something major happening in Manchester, but the nature of the incident wasn't known. It would be easy for the NC team to decide to not show the Newsnight repeat simply because of they knew something was going on and people would want to know. If it had turned out to be a hysteria event, it would still have been big news because of the shear number of people involved, and the difficulties of reuniting families in the circumstances - but it wouldn't have been BBC 1 newsflash serious.

Westminster, on the other hand, within minutes was clearly an attack of some sort, with pictures, video and witnesses on hand, reporters and facilities present on site. The news was broken as "gunshots heard in Parliament" which is almost serious enough on it's own to break into normal programming.

There is ONLY one way to solve that... only have a very small select number of people to be told included staff within palace.
