Alas the one video I forget to keep was the one at 23.30 where Clive was speaking to the first person who had been flow across the floor.

Seeing correspondents like Gavin Hewitt and Ian Watson wearing black ties. Nice touch.

Didn't realize the BBC had masts on their trucks.

It's not that common now but they used to be used for terrestrial links so the trucks had an option of which method to use. They're not just used for cameras, they are useful for mounting an aerial for the trucks off-air receiver or use it as a receive point for a radio cam or aerial pictures from a helicopter

Quite astonishing the amount of information that security personnel in the US seem to be willing to leak to the press.

My colleagues Heather Stewart, Robert Booth and Vikram Dodd report that Theresa May will confront Donald Trump over the stream of leaks of crucial intelligence about the Manchester bomb attack when she meets the US president at a Nato summit in Brussels on Thursday.

We should stop sending stuff if they are going to leak it.

Is it possible that these leaks are caused POTUS' attacks on the FBI, NSA, CIA and the rest? Look at all the leaks from the White House. Staffers are getting fed up and can't control the POTUS.

Don't it get into dodgy water with stv being a partner and news through the night - also apart from in he Channel Islands where it's mightscreen long play itv stv abe sold their airtime to TELESHOPPING or jackpot 24/7 which might have made breaking news difficult they probably have plans for certain over night news but not last nights. They didwell when they did come on however

On the teleprompter - it's an expensive bit of kit and you either need an extra return vision circuit or a local operator. So - in this instance - its people or tying up expensive satellite space.

Unlike NBC the BBC (must be getting on for) 20 people to do a single presenter live.

Sorry for a quick English lesson by "getting on" do you mean that the BBC is making due with less than NBC? It's a phrase that's not commonly used in American English.

It's means 'approaching' or 'something in the region of'.

Of an older gentlemen you might say 'he's getting on for 80'. If you believe he's somewhere in his late 70s.

It doesn't work like that. ITV could interrupt teleshopping if they wanted (or were able) to put news on air. At worst, you make up the time elsewhere in the schedules (or compensate for time lost).

Leaked or not it's totally irresponsible for the US media to publish the info. Careless talk costs lives etc

Whether or not it is leaked is of importance. If it is coming from official sources with no embargo or similar then it seems that the source intends it to be broadcast. If they are getting the information in an unofficial way then you are perfectly right.
