... and straight into the News Channel - as I thought.

Martine Croxhall doing a great job as always...[/quote:0669503754]

Martine Croxhall is incredible. One of the News Channel's beat for Breaking News.

Martine is great, but unfortunately seems to be on air for the start of most of these incidents so has a lot of experience in them...

Why not now? what are there going to fill the next 20mins with?

ITV News will be going live at Ten past Midnight.

In which case, slap on the wrist to you for having done that then, but I stand by the rest of what I said. At least - to your minor credit - you waited until the next day. Anyone who thinks like that WHILE something like this is going on needs to re-evaluate themselves.

and to follow up on your other assertion, I'm not in a newsroom but I am involved in the coverage

It still wasn't and isn't funny.

Surprised ITV News is coming on the air. Just goes to show that if they could have done, they would have gone live in the immediate aftermath of the Manchester attack.

No intelligence on this incident, completely unexpected - BBC News.

She is. Sadly not that I want her to be on BBC One, given the nature of the incident.

So this could be a test of breakfasts ability to get a experienced presenter in on Sundays at short notice (although I suppose Naga could be scheduled to present anyway).

It's Ben Thompson and Sian Lloyd on Breakfast tomorrow

Charlie is London based so could be drafted in to present from the scene with perhaps Louise in the studio?

An argument really to continue with rolling coverage from London rather than using resources in Salford, whether that's in the studio or on location.

Sad these incidents are becoming far too familar.
