BBC One running 25 minutes late, then made up by skipping out the 1630 National & Regional News. Countryfile then on at its original time, and Question Time makes way for 50 minutes of national and 10 minutes regional news before the Concert at the scheduled time. 50 minutes for the 1755 news will be fine: it's only about five minutes more than an extended Ten O'Clock news the other week (tonight's Ten will extremely likely not be 25 minutes) and there will have been no BBC One news at 1630 so they can add more into the 1755 news.

Just heard 'hello and welcome to CNNs breaking news coverage of the attack in London" in the background on the BBC NC

Shaun Ley is about the last person I'd want on air in this situation, he always comes across as though he thinks people are watching because of him and not the content, and not in a good way.

Very unfair comment I think - he is an excellent broadcaster on both television and radio.

Tim Willcox pressing the mother of a person injured in the attack live on air, I realise he is a journalist but he seems to have forgotten about the need for compassion.

Nice of her to finish just in time for Tim to hit the top of the hour. Nicely done albeit total flook

Quite... An utterly groundless comment about one of the most-self-effacing network broadcasters with whom I've ever worked. Dozens of BBC colleagues would tell you the same.

And before anyone jumps in to ask if anyone else is allowed to have an opinion... yes, you are... but those of us who actually know and have worked with these people are also entitled to inform you when you're objectively wrong.

AlexS shared an opinion about how he comes across on television. We don't all know these people in real life, so can't pass a judgement on how they are in real life. Equally, one person's best friend might not be my cup of tea - that doesn't make either of us wrong.

For the record, I like Shaun Ley and don't agree with the original comment.
