Andrew Marr programme now cancelled according to BBC One London schedule, although Jane Hill has just announced that Andrew Marr will be appearing, with his guests, later in the hour. Schedule still showing the live Pentacost programme at 10am, that was always scheduled, don't know whether this will go ahead on BBC One.
Woke up to the news at 07:30. I watched 30 mins of BBC, followed by 30 mins of Sky, followed by 30 mins of ITV.
I thought on the basis of that ITV and Sky seemed to have their acts together better than the Beeb.
ITV handled vertical AR mobile footage the best, simply black bars, Sky second best with almost plain white, the BBC's method is a distracting mess IMHO
In France this morning all of the news channels here running specials but main networks have mostly had normal programming (amazed at the amount of kids programming on network television in a multi channel age).
One observation France Info having it's strict clock hour schedule kind of restricts it in breaking news situations. It also means you end up seeing at least three phone interviews an hour with radio presenters.
I just can't understand it. They have a newscaster in the studio, two reporters on location and a security correspondent in the studio. Why don't they just carry on?
ITV are using Rohit and Angus again this morning, so that probably explains it.
I think the helicopter shot just now was pooled (on all three: BBC, ITV and Sky).
BBC going back briefly to Jane but substantively to Marr with Emma Thornberry, Sky and ITV continual rolling news (ITV with correspondent in the studio).
