The police update seemingly begun once Kelly Anne gave the cue or that's just some great timing on STV News

Christian Fraser seems to be continuing through 18:30 in C. Presume Focus on Africa has been dropped on world in order for this to happen?

BBC News and print media confirming three deaths. Sky News so far holding back on confirmation of fatalities beyond the attacker.

Oddly enough, the TV channels seemed quick to give a number of fatalities in this incident, which appears to have been overstated. For last week's Reading incident, on the other hand, they seemed to be slow in giving out a number of fatalities, whilst non broadcast outlets gave what was the accurate number well before confirmation on TV.

Im quite disappointed in the BBC for having '3 dead' on their homepage for a few hours today, when seemingly thankfully no one has died (apart from the attacker). I guess journalism also died today.

In their defence, that number seemed to come from a source in Whitehall, and the BBC certainly won't the only ones to quote that number of deaths. It might have been an idea to hold back on giving a number until it had been officially confirmed, but when others are saying that there are three dead, you run the risk of being accused of being slow of reporting the facts.

I agree - the situation was obviously unclear all afternoon considering different organisations were reporting things differently. Seems some people in these situations look to catch peoples attention with phrases like "number of fatalities" and "several dead" being used.

Thats a shame if it came from Government, I had only been checking Sky and BBC most the afternoon and Sky never once had any deaths mentioned.
