Gave up on Sky (who are currently on a break). Watching NBC.

I don't regularly watch Sky News, do they always take breaks during major breaking news stories like this?
I've found myself flicking between BBC News, Aljazeera & ABC News with Diane Sawyer online.

No. They don't. This is the first time ever during Breaking News, something Sky deals with very well, everyone can agree Sky were extremely disappointing. Breaks every 15 minutes, shoddy graphics and lack of presenters with little or few interviews.

Overnights they do. The same thing happened with the London Riots coverage and various big breaking stories overnight, over the last few years.

BTW, Sky News now have at least one Aston working.

Whoops the Sky News or pooled camera man just fell over or dropped something in spectacular style!

Edit, on Sky+ replay it looked like something crashed into his tripod which in turn left him in considerable pain and he dropped his camera.

Arise News (sky 519) are not showing the scheduled Teleshopping but are instead showing what seems to be a local US channel.

EDIT: It's WBZ Boston, a CBS channel.

Here we are, the best I can manage this late (and on my birthday!)...

A moment of light relief... It is rather funny, just to hear and see the reactions of the residents around him.

I suppose it summed up Sky News' coverage really.

To me, that looks like that someone was hurt and the person on the camera put it down to help.

Someone definitely fell over as you can hear the crash and then the gasps.

Yes, but you made out it was the person holding the camera - and it certainly doesn't look like it was to me.

BBC World News, Al Jazeera English, and other news organizations had moved on to other news stories... but CNN International keeps the CNN Domestic simulcast.

The more I watch this coverage the more it reminds me of the Raoul Moat standoff.

Although with a Hollywood budget.

Great coverage though from most organisations yesterday - a truly fascinating day of events.
