You are SO WRONG saying North tonight!!! Grampian produce an excellent news programme - at least all its contents are relative to the Grampian region (which is more than we can say for Scotland Today)!!! Have you attempted to look at some of the others on itv - North Tonight is FAR from worst!!

I'm tempted to say Reporting Scotland here, but having been on holiday in England I've seen some of the pitiful regional news efforts down there, so I can't. At least Reporting Scotland (occasionally) has news.
Scotland Today is far better than Reporting Scotland, and on the few occasions I've seen North Tonight it ain't bad either.

I feel sorry for Gordon, as there have been times when his voice has dried up on air, it can sometimes sound like he's going through puberty, though I don't think he needs a co-host, the show works rather well on his own, he's made it his show if anything, though I think there should be a proper back-up presenter if Gordon is off.
Frankly I don't find North West Tonight boring, okay it isn't very lively, but it brings the News and offers a higher quality News service than Granada Reports.
I haven't seen many Regional News programmes, though the only one I can't stand is BBC London News, I think it must be edited by the same people who do the Daily Mail.

To be fair on Reporting Scotland, imagine if they had a fab set like Midlands Today or Northern Ireland and then put Jackie in it. Most TVs North of the border would explode with such concentrated fabness.

I've only regularly seen BBC London and Look North (Hull) East, as they are the two areas I'm most frequently in.
You can all slate London, but however they deliver it, at least they have NEWS! Something 'The Peter Levy Show' is sadly missing. Shame really, even though there is little news I used to enjoy the show for it's entertainment value... But that's not what news is for I guess.

Are you serious? The Daily Mail is so right wing Oswald Moseley would blush at some of the things it prints. BBC London News is anything but 'to the right'

This is a flawed question surely.
The most boring regional news programme is the one you have the least connection with. The London local programmes are interesting to me as I'm a Londoner, I quite like the South West programmes because i used to live there..... But I find the North East news very dull because I've never been there, I've never heard of most of the places mentioned and even if I have I couldn't give a flying to most of them.
Everyone will have a diffrent answer
