I notice Border have started using their newsroom on the lunchtime news. For one of the main stories, they will go to a reporter in the newsroom. It looks quite good, didn't realise Border had a good newsroom for TV airing.

Also, anyone notice how crap Border are at trying to fake a Live OB. They try to handover as if it was Live, but the reporter starts speaking before the presenter has finished. I think Border really need to get their own OB truck, rather than borrowing one from Granada every so often.

Well according to the 2005 Programme Statement, and the past couple of days, it would seem Border are the proud owners of their first Satellite truck. Not before time. They must have been the only region that had to borrow one. The newsroom camera is now used for the headlines at 1230 too, it looks quite good.

Well according to the 2005 Programme Statement, all bulletins WILL be presented by journalists - and none of them are. IMO, it is ridiculous, because they were very good newsreaders.

Susannah Boccaccio was on maternity leave, but I see she is on a trailer for a Border produced property programme. Heather Larcombe is a producer at Border, and does the voiceovers for Border regional trailers. And John Harkins is one of the directors on Lookaround.

At the moment Border have no Scottish or Manx newsreaders, which is not very good. I hope Courtnay is back soon - she usually sticks up for Scotland on Lookaround !!!!
