Julie at Westminster and the dreaded Burley at Buckingham Palace for Sky News. Mattew A. is at Downing Street and Jon Soepel at Westminster for BBC News 24.
It looks like Brown will go to the Palace at 1340. So maybe ITV News cover that.

It's actually quite a poor show of ITV news to not be covering this. It goes without saying that today is a major news event, and regardless of whether the BBC are covering it or not - ITV news should be doing their bit.

That was pretty painful to watch...you could almost see Charles Kennedy and IDS looking a bit taken aback they were cutting it off. Even News 24 had do the BBC1 special so it was literally as Blair walked out of the Commons that the titles to that kicked on, very close.
I understand the pressures of programmes coming on and off air to time, but given the Daily Politics coverage was completely independent of News 24/BBC1's special surely an extra couple of minutes could have been added as Wimbledon is fairly flexible?
Either that or someone should have forseen that might have happened and had the programme ending at 1240!

Editorially, The Daily Politics ending like that was quite dreadful.
it made the programme pointless, all to go to rainy Wimbledon.
As has been said, it should all have been on BBC1 or BBC2.
I'm sure one or two people are getting a rocket about this - rightly.

I suppose ITV don't see the point in essentially duplicating what's on the BBC and various news channels, and people will gravitate to the BBC anyway.
Channel 4 was covering it on the News at Noon (from ITN), and then there's the ITV Lunchtime News to come.
