On Wednesday, the Ten will be extended by five minutes, and I would assume Newsnight will be extended (although it's not scheduled yet). I wonder who'll be presenting?

Currently scheduled to be Paxman.

Thatcher did something like 'I have been responding to the various good luck and wellwishing cards I have recieved over the past few months'

Hopefully Blair can think of a better line than that!

Well responding to such correspondence wouldn't take Blair very long would it Wink

As News Junkies, I think we are actually all privately enjoying the coverage this story is getting.

On BBCW and CNNI, it is hardly mentioned. When I flip over to Sky News though - blimey!!

Blair and Brown are mentioned every three minutes on average. But, then again, one assumes that a change in national leader under these circumstances is quite a big news story.

Did anyone happen to see the outfit Peter Spencer was wearing at Westminster yesterday to report the story?

Classic!

Good old Sky News - never wrong for long - had breaking news for the last half hour that Alan Johnson had won! News 24 beat them to the real winner, Harriet Harman.

Sky Sources: Alan Johnson winner
Sky Sources: Harriet Harman winner

Which do we believe!?

I notice News 24 have a loop on their ticker for the breaking news. Why do they feel the need to show it with a strap directly above it? Confused

Only after Sky had checked what News 24 were saying - until that they had Alan Johnson as the winner!
