I notice that The Daily Politics (BBC TWO) is extended to 90 mins from 1130 to cover Blair's final PMQ's, there's no special coverage elsewhere on BBC ONE, ITV, Channel 4 or five.
I presume that coverage will be on the News Channels only...
If anyone is aware of anything special being prepared please add to this thread
I assume there will be extensive coverage on the network bulletins later on in the day. But it will be interesting to see how they play it on Sunday with the Deputy Leader/PM results.
So Tony is popping up the road to see Liz straight after PMQs then? I guess Gordon gets to live-out his fantasy for real shortly afterwards with a similar trip.(...and I'd hate to be the one to have to clean the upholstery in that car after it gets back to No.10 )
All this should be covered by Sky & N24 I would think (except the view inside Gordy's car on the way there and back of course via webcam).
EDIT: I love his comment on the interview to be shown on Newsnight tonight (was on 5 o'clock News Hour) about "I never intended to be PM!"
On Wednesday, the
Ten
will be extended by five minutes, and I would assume
Newsnight
will be extended (although it's not scheduled yet). I wonder who'll be presenting?

I'm not sure what time that is due to happen.
The Leadership Conference is in the Afternoon on Sunday and I will be there for part of it.
I too am disapointed that there doesn't appear to be Blanket News Coverage at least for the Afternoon on the Main Channels.
In a situation like this, whichever Prime Minister deserves to have their Final Hours in Office Televised. It is an historic moment after all.
I am very pleased on a Personal Note, I have been able to see what has been going on during the last six years and had the pleasure to meet Tony Blair and Gordon Brown.
I should be able to muster up some enthusiasm to be interested in this but no matter how hard i try i just cannot. I've become so disillusioned with all this ****. Until one of them can convince me there isn't 2 pockets in this political fraternity i don't think i ever can muster any interest in any them.
No matter what, we, the little people will always be worse off while those who choose our fate will prosper. I'm fed up of being screwed over.
I think it's Simply Overkill now. We've all pretty much known for what Might Actually be Years now that Brown will succeed Blair, for all The Difference it'll really make.*
The majority of people I've spoken to seem happy enough for a change from Blair, but aren't fussed about the whole farewell tour bit, or his dying moments as PM.
"Right, bye. OK, yeah, buh-bye now. Yeah. OK. Love you. Missin ya already. Kisses. Bye Bye. Oh, did I remember to say bye? Don't be a stranger....."
(*Random caps in first paragraph, with thanks to Benjamin F Whatshisface.)
on another point I wonder what the variation will be to the usual answer to question one,
Quote:
This morning I had meetings with ministerial colleagues and others. In addition to my duties in the House, I will have further such meetings later today.
