Sky first to break the news out here. I am sure that you guys back in the UK will shortly be bombarded by ITV and N24 all putting up red straps soon.

ITV? You mean during a newscast, right? I hope they don't put straps for something like that, I mean it's just a dead swan, it hasn't mutated or anthing. To be honest there's no point panicking people.

I agree, but you know our rolling news people's thirst for something to get people's attention? I can't see ITN or N24 where I am, but Sky News are going all out with their red ink...............

To be honest, I was just referring to UK News Channels / Programmes generally.........wasn't meaning that they would be breaking into programmes with newsflashes etc.

But, I guess your Bulletins will lead with it.

No wonder all of the News Readers were wearing black three months ago.... I guess they could just see this news coming. Now, if you'll excuse me, I am going to don a black armband.

In case you can't tell, I'm being sarcastic. This story has been hugely disproportional in terms of how serious it actually is.

And BBC News 24 cut away from the News Hour.

I do think it might go out of proportion a bit by the media but it can spread between birds quite easily. A few cases might show up over the next couple of days.
