Has anyone got any good quality footage of Moira presenting a REAL bulletin,so that we can relive the good old days?!! Smile

IIRC she hasn't presented a mainstream bulletin on BBC Terrestrial since 1999. (Breakfast apart)

She has, of course, been doing the five minute slot on Frost for a while, as well as a short stint on N24.

She presented a proper lunchtime summary a couple of weekends ago, when there was no Politics Show.

There is a God after all.................according to Charlie Wells over in the "Breakfast" thread, the Great One actually presented a full hour of the programme this morning, direct from the sofa, and accompanied for the second half-hour by Dermot.

This particular ex-pat fan of the BBC's greatest News Presentation asset would greatly appreciate a handful of comments / captures / opinions and general chit-chat as to how BIG MOIRA fared this morning, in all her greatness, on the sofa.

Charlie? Hymagumba? Brekkie? BN? Anyone......................

Here you are James. Once they've finished the local news on the following link, you can see Dermot and Moira on the sofa (from about 1 minute 20 seconds). If you are unable to open it, maybe someone can take some caps from the clip for you.

Unfortunately missed her, but she seemed fine on the clip.

Don't suppose anyone saw the brief article in The Times yesterday?

It was by Pattrick Muir - I think that's him, the former Radio4 Newsreader.

He was saying why shouldn't Moira get mega-bucks, she's well loved and respected, but BBC boses obviously don't want that.

What... your links are messed up, but I manged to get it to work. The countdown is the old (99) cotundown... the orignal in this style.

Tsk... the "vocals" are not Moria I'm afraid, look at the ID3 tag. "David Lowe - BBC News Theme vs Kathy Brown - Turn Me Out" As for it's source. If I didn't know better I'd say that was made by our very own Equidem. The music used is the orignal 2LO mix by David Lowe nothing unusual.

I would like to know where he gets the "Clean" vocals from, he's done a few recently with vocals to BBC music, if this is one of his I may be wrong.
