"BIG MOIRA"

I just watched that Moira ident / montage again. Its fabulous. Especially the very first photogrpah used. What era is that from?

Also, you have the timing of the end caption "Big Moira" just absolutely perfect.

I found the first picture on the BBC website about black achievments from the 1980s and Moira was the first picture.

I thought it was because of her big hairdo in the nineties. Apparently some celebrity ( ? ) referred to her as Big Moira because of that.

Perhaps both are justifications for the name BIG MOIRA

Does anyone think that if Moira leaves the BBC for any reason, that she would shift over to ITN or Sky, or would would you envisage the great lady doing when she leaves the BBC, if it ever happens?

I can't imagine Moira anywhere other than BBC News.

Doubt it - it would be great to see her do it again but why wouldn't Natasha do it if Sian's off? or even Jane if shes not available.

P.S. We may see Moira in the main news studio anyway tomorrow if she does the lunchtime bulletin
