All these studios look very fresh and modern, yet BBC Scotland can only manage this ?

I know there will be a new studio in a couple of years, but frankly, that studio is just embarrassing.

never seen midlands today but that shot looks pretty fab.. just spent a week in scotland and saw one reporting scotland and have to say wasn't that impressed.. pretty drab set and some of the reporters lacked any charisma!..

That Scotland set looks like a leftover from the BBC London late 90s look...
Yes Newsline is very good - then again they have the resources of a small country to run that place
Presenters Donna Traynor and Noel Thompson (pictured earlier) are quite excellent in their own right, and even better again together - but others on BBC NI can come across as unbelievably patronising - they're notorious for it down south. They speak like the audience is made up of 3 year olds - Karen Patterson being the worst offender:

Followed in a close second by Sarah Travers:

I do like the red on the floor on Newsline, gives the studio more depth. It might look nice for Wales Today...

Yes, the South Today Oxford sub-opt is pretty poor, although I guess it doesn't really count as a programme in its own right.
I'd agree that Newsline is probably the best, and Scotland Today is the worst by far.
I quite like Wales Today and South East Today too, though - and I also think that Spotlight looks a bit drab compared to some of the others.
