No Quest after Amanpour, not that she covered this story at all really.... CNN US leading with Trump interview, it's a Trump planet we live on after all. Maybe we'll get more on Beirut in about 9 hours when CNNI overnight team takes over.

I just don't get it. There is no reason why Quest Means Business couldn't air. Instead we get another unnecessary US simulcast, which isn't even covering the big breaking Beirut news.
Back to Sky News for me. I give up with CNN International.
Well it's a preview of things to come, at least when there's international breaking news. Minimal coverage from CNNI and back to domestic as soon as possible. CNNI does not have the capacity to do anything more with most of it staff sitting at home. It's hard to comprehend really. Other news organizations have found a way to function and do what they are supposed to do but CNN's COVID19 lockdown seems to be never-ending.

Sorry if I missed it and i'm not sure if there is a studio there, but CNN has stated on their site that the Beirut office was damaged and windows blown out etc from the picture. Floor covered in blown up furniture etc. Might be a while before it is back in business.
Just to mention some of the European news channels, it seems to have been covered in top stories of most bulletins/special coverage but I have to say, Franceinfo, France's public service channel and one that is frequently held in high regard here has been pathetic. Other French news channels have gone into breaking mode (many still are), Franceinfo made no changes to their schedule which is shocking given France's Lebanese community and French ties in Lebanon. No wonder the ratings for the channel are dire. Even Euronews was doing live hits and social media analysis.

Weren’t some of their International shows like The Brief and YWT meant to be back this week according to their schedule? Or is it still as it was the last few months and it’s largely US simulcasts?
Sounds this coverage sums up CNN well - the actual international coverage when it is allowed on air is actually pretty good but it plays second fiddle to Domestic’s talking heads.
