I don't know if it's pres wise or not, but lately it's just been...dull. I don't mean "add more fluff stories", it's just been...dull. Also, I think the current set is distracting, with the bright reds, so maybe that's the cause. It's just not as interesting as CNNi. I know the journalistic intergrity is still there, but it's just not stimulating. At least they will get new sets late 07 or early 08.

If you dislike the set so much, why dont you build a new one and send it in?

Has anyone been to TV Ark recently because I saw BBC World along with News 24 (since relaunch '07) and I found out it was nice. I have downloaded some stuff there already (BBC World Breakfiller '03, BBC World News Today '07, etc.).

TV Ark, more updates to come! Very Happy

I noticed that World was running with captioned/subtitled video of the Virginia killer's home movies, then suddenly all later video was run without the captions. Was the BBC bombarded with complaints, one wonders?

On another note, do any of you regular viewers of The World recall when the most recent appearance of Zeinab Badawi was? Does she still continue to present on the channel?

Way past my bedtime where I am.

Didn't she just recently did an on-air promotion for This Week?

Martine Dennis did - I think Martine will be the regular This Week presenter, as she now seems to have inherited the Saturday morning shift.

I don't like the fact that, after last January's revamp, they very often put a totally negligible story among the headlines, like "Guess where the world's biggest toad live" or "Meet the oldest monkey in the world". It somehow slows down the pace.

Yeah, I saw that too. Asia Today seems to have some DOG problems. Throughout the program, there was no DOG at all.

I was quite surprised not to see Caroline Wyatt during the French Election Coverage. Also, isn't Alan Little a Paris correspondent anymore?

That I don't know. Jon Sopel has been reporting from Paris for the election coverage.

Jon presented the special on News24 and World, from a glorious position on a roof in front of the Arc de Triumph. Caroline was working for Radio
