She's been doing Saturday and Sunday mornings for quite a while now. David Eades has been doing the weekday morning slot for a while too.

Really? I had no idea. I knew she normally did the Friday edition of TWT.

Like you, I hope that we continue to see Zeinab Badawi on screen, even if they do axe The World. Hopefully she will continue to anchor WNT, or whatever else replaces The World.

Wonder when Jonathan Charles will be returning from Baghdad.

I do recall Tim Sebastian as one of the principal news anchors though, before he was given his own slot called "HardTalk".

I didn't know he used to be a news anchor... Anyone got a video of him presenting the news? I'd love to see his presentation style...

Ciao Maltese!

There is a clip on TV Ark, in the BBC World section / 1995 vintage, I think. However, it is only the opening and closing of the programme - Newshour or Newsdesk. Can't remember which.

Grazie James!

I read on Wikipedia that Anita McNaught is now working for FoxNews... is that true? and if so what is she exactly doing there?

Well I think it would be interesting if they had 2 anchores doing the news( like News 24) or at least have some parts of the day with 2 anchors (morning programmes). It would be a nice change and would bring more life to their news. I was thinking who would go well with whome, but didn't have a clue couse we never saw any of them together( at least I didn't).
Did BBC World ever have news with 2 presenters, and I don't count buseiness presenters.

Check the sources. If a source hasn't been cited for a claim, then you should be doubtful.

When is a morning programme on a 24-hour global news channel?

No, I am not referring to The World Today, rather, World News Today.
