Is there a person in the newsroom whose role is taking care of the make-up? If so that person definitely exceeded with Alastair Yates's make up tonight, he looks kinda like a bronze statue, the contrast between his ear and the rest of the face is breathtaking.


aric2007 is me. I hate to say this but "the eye" is driving me crazy. He thinks that they won't be back in the World set... I hope they'll be back soon.

I don't like the main shot of Lucy though (not this cap), dunno if they have changed the camera settings/lighting, but she looks orange now, not pink like previously an d its horrible!

He does. I've always wondered about how tall presenters actually are, seeing them behind a desk is confusing.

oh they are lovely aren't they. It;s nice to see World have kept their 2000signature tune. It's a lovely bit of music.

Ooh... pretty... shame I can't get World except on overnights with N24. Any sign of a new countdown? The music has been revised recently, but the visuals now look outdated and out of place.

Even after twelve years of watching, I still love Nisha Pillai's unique presentation style. She excels in news anchoring.

But, who the heck was the sports presenter (David Gorido??? was the name perhaps announced - not sure) who appeared on screen with hair gelled in a spiky teenage fashion?

Not very nice for BBC World..............

I agree. I really like the new ident. It's classy, yet bold. I guess that's kind of a oxymoron, but whatever.
