Yowzers! That is a huge huge improvement. I've always thought news channels are visually more impressive with real newsroom backdrops, but I really liked BBC World coming from TC7 this weekend. The studio was well used especially using the sofa for Sport Today and the WBR. Fingers crossed this sort of thing will be incorporated into BBC World's revamped studio, whenever that arrives...

Won't that be coming when BBC News moves to Broadcasting House? Or is it moving to Salford? I can't remember.

BBC News is (eventually) moving to Broadcasting House. I keep seeing posts on this forum saying there will be one more newsroom/studio revamp before the move which makes sense as the move to BH is delayed more and more and since the on screen pres has been updated since it was introduced in 2003 but the World and N24 newsroom haven't had any changes what so ever.

Is there a reason the Newsnight Review sofa wasn't moved? Or I assume it's the Review sofa.

Because it has been used by the business and sport presenters this weekend.

No, it is the TC7 desk. N6 has been used by BBC1 all weekend, as usual. World has been in TC7.

This is the BBC. They probably have a few of those red stripes as they wear out, break, get nicked etc. In televison you always have a back up.

Perhaps it's just the camera angle but Peter looks very odd, in the short sense of the word.

i've been impressed with Worlds use of TC7, shame they can't be there permanantly as it suits BBC World and its programmes.

Am I the only one who's starting to think that the eye and aric2007 are actually the same person, a sort of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde?

Is there a person in the newsroom whose role is taking care of the make-up? If so that person definitely exceeded with Alastair Yates's make up tonight, he looks kinda like a bronze statue, the contrast between his ear and the rest of the face is breathtaking.

aric2007 is me. I hate to say this but "the eye" is driving me crazy. He thinks that they won't be back in the World set... I hope they'll be back soon.
