Electrical safety testing, I think somebody said or implied.

Surprised that they're using TC7 given its need for more staff than N6, especially as it's a Bank Holiday so not unknown for the BBC1 bulletins to be shared with News 24 from the N24 studio.

TC7 uses the same number of staff as N6:

Director
Technical Manager
Sound Supervisor
Lighting Director
Floor Manager and
Vision Mixer

I think BBC World looks great from TC7. I like the fact that it's all a little darker than the usual extremely bright set. And I love that sofa for business news... What programmes normally broadcast from TC7?

Newsnight on BBC2, Working Lunch, The Polilitics Show as well and a couple of more news related shows.

I quite like the lowering+zooming in shot from the side after the opening titles!

It actually looks quite amazing. I wouldn't be surprised if they and N24 would adapt this design for a set, as I heard that BBC World and N24 will get a new set in late 07 or Early to Mid 08. It works really, really well, and the darker reds look more authoratative.

no doubt they would like to, but the cost must be about 10 times the usual cost of producing the programmes from N9

On another matter... Fast Track got a big revamp a few months ago, new presenters, new music and graphics etc etc ... now I feel there is a need for change in Talking Movies .. the host has got to go, so does the music, the titles, the graphics everything. Its a crap programme, it looks crap and I feel as if im seeing repeated crap from the 80's

Whilst Talking Movies could do with a bit of a clean-up pres-wise, it's a much stronger movie show than most. I never see it repeated on N24 lately, but I can't seem to get away from its pedestrian N24-equivalent with that awful Mark Kermode.
