Why ever not? She has been presenting news on BBC for many years!! What disqualifies her, in your opinion?
Because I'd like her in BUSINESS news, don't you understand?
you're so full of crap.

Ewww! Tanya's not fit for news... I'd prefer her presenting World Business Report in London or New York... But she's a no-no at news for me. (Just took a peek at your YouTube video, Damo.)

Er, whether Business News or World News, it's the same autocue she's reading!!
On reflection, I actually don't understand your two posts on this subject. They seem a bit conflicting.

I've been in Rome over the weekend and noticed Deborah MacKenzie presenting last night. What with the live coverage from the UN, losing an hour's sleep with the clocks going forward and having to get up at 5.30am for a flight home, I only caught her for about 10 mins. She certainly was a refreshing change, though. I haven't seen her for a few years - she used to do overnights GMT along with Martine Croxall and Alastair Yates. I very rarely see overnight bulletins - is Deborah still doing them, or has she not been seen on BBC News for a while?
I think my favourite time to watch BBC World nowadays is Sunday evenings. Alastair Yates has made that shift his own now and he really does excel. A very capable, professional yet personable presenter.

Anyone read the one page article about BBC WORLD on page 7 of todays Mail on Sunday Night and Day / Live magazine? Dylan Jones obviously doesnt like the channel!
Article titled: 'Please stop BBC World - I want to get off........if you're into phosphate mining in Tuvalu or Ghanaian farming policies, this channel is the one for you. For the rest of us, its TV Mogadon'.
Some quotes from the article:
'The last time I watched BBC World, a presenter was announcing the forthcoming transmission of a programme about a subject so obscure I wasnt sure if it was a place or an illness.'
'If you are only in your hotel room for 20 mins and all of them happen to coincide with the channels 'down time', then you wont be hearing any news today.'
'BBC World is the worlds most expensive sedative'

You're right, harshy. It's always been like that. Like example, for World News Today, when they go on a break it simply says "Continues" instead of "World News Today continues".

The breakfiller seems to be behaving weird, when I was watching it today, it keep saying the next programme that was on "Continues" LOL, even more strange was the text on the right was all jumbled up!

Tanya had to sprint onto the set this morning just in time for WBR segment of TWT. She was seen hurtling past Lucy Hockings whilst Lucy was closing TWT.
