typing in bbcworld.com takes you to the old site... www.bbcworld.com takes you to new! Interesting.

it's unprofessional enough that they still have popups on that site.

I've been in France this past week and have had the chance to watch some small amounts of BBC World. On the whole it wasn't bad but one thing that did annoy me was the inconsistency of the weather. One time it would be a full forecast for the world yet the next one will just be for Asia and Africa. Is there any regular scheduling for what areas will be covered in the forecast?

Sometimes the weather barely lasts a minute, it's pretty pathetic!

I like the new biography updates and updated fotos on the new website. They need to get snapping at Mike Embley - still using his old college foto by the looks of it.

Jonathan Charles is confirmed as a permanent news presenter on the website too.

Tanya Beckett is missing though.

On another subject, it was good to see Sara Coburn on TWT last week with Mrtine Dennis. I have always really liked Sara and wish she was on BBC World News more.

Remember that BBC World is funded by advertising (sadly) and that as soon as they leave the five-mile limit they lose any funding from the license fee payer.

The end sting to the headlines is very disappointing, compared to News 24 very powerful end sting, BBC Worlds is well lame Sad

Just like 2003-2007 when News 24's was lame. Now its our turn to have a 'lame' one.

Sean Fletcher on the Sports Today - he's a good one!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I have seen only "veterans" on BBC World - Mike Embley, Nik Gowing and Lindsey Brancher.

No prizes for guessing who ISN'T my favourite amongst those three.

Edit: Alastair Yates has just started the next shift. So, TRULY a veterans day at World.

Well, hopefully there'll be even more veterans...
