I think BBCWorld is giving a disproportionate (does this word even exist?) importance to the Italian Football Violence story and the policeman's funeral in Sicily. I mean, at 1800GMT it was the opening story, instead of the floods in Jakarta. Isn't that a little bit too much?

I'd actually argue the story in Italy deserves the coverage it's getting. Italian football, although not everyone's cup of tea, is a mega European story with it's suspension and the general background to the story. When it broke on News 24 it was slightly demoted (with the bird flu out-break) but it was evident this was a major story for Italy.
I think, to understand the story fully, the background really needs explaining and I think that's what BBC World is doing very well.
Damn, I should improve my oral comprehension skills, everytime Alastair Yates starts telling jokes I just don't get them,,, I hope someone got what he's just said about Kylie Minogue.
Finally after god knows how long, bbcworld.com is set to be redesigned! Thank the lord this has finally come, for so long the website has been really inadequate for such a channel. I hope they do a good job! Will just have to wait until tomorrow.
Good lord, I forgot how heinous the current one is. I know it's based in London, but here in Melbourne (GMT+10 + DST - that's ten or eleven hours ahead of London) it's been the 8th of February for over twelve hours..
New site is ok I guess. They have made quite a few spelling errors in presenter names. Darshini is Darshin. Maryam Moshiri is now Mashin or something. Rico Hizon is now Rico Rizon. Lindsey is now Lyndsay. I could go on!
