She has good pronunciation of foreign words just like Nisha, and I managed to see Lucy try correct pronunciation but it was terrible.

The correct pronounciation of a foreign word is not necessarily (sp?) the one of a mother tongue speaker. I mean, English people should not pronounce "Afghanistan" the way an Afghani would, but in a similar way with English sounds and accent. I guess.
Anyway, couldn't it be that Mishal just cannot pronounce that "fgh" combination of letters in the word "Afghanistan"? She would still be a very skilled -and attractive- newsreader.

It is total and pretentious twaddle to pronounce Afghanistan as Affanistan. For heaven's sake. Who does she think she is? And who does she think she's broadcasting to? Would she also refer to the President of France as meeting Tony Blair in Paree? Of course not. Shame on her. Useless, affected and stupid.

Uh you may find that this pronounciation comes from the fact that her parents are Pakistani and so possibly raised Mishal to speak Urdu, not to mention the fact that although she was born in the UK she was raised in the UAE and so may have learnt Arabic to some extent. With this in mind it is no surprise that she pronounces Afghanistan as an Afghani would ie Aff-haan-istan and not Af-GAN-istan.
What is wrong with localised pronounciation? To use British-English pronounciation conventions in all contexts is ridiculous. Jacques Chirac is not pronounced as Jack-queues Chi-rack, just as Beijing is not pronounced Be-eye-jin-g.

I don't get it? Are you saying our accent is bad? You should take a listen at your own, ours can be understood clearly around the world, let alone not even in your own country.

I didn't say it was bad. It's distinct. I couldn't really see why Damian would point out what he did (with an added "ha" for emphasis), so I threw it back at him.
But I'll be sure to listen to my own accent, yes.
