Charlie Brooker's Screen Wipe. I'll say no more.

oh dear. I take it World have taken the view that the rest of the BBC have, that instead of showing lots of trailers to advertise their wide range of progrmming they should show a single one forever and ever until people's brains explode

Matt Frei was abysmal last night in his co-anchoring slot with Mike Embley.
Frei (in Washington) made a rather poor attempt at comedy, at the end of a piece on live classical music being used in hospitals to soothe patients, which works, according to new research.
At the bulletin's close, Frei commented "Oh, I really can't stand any more of that music, it's so depressing", or words to that effect.
Embley was in-vision on the split screen at the time and was clearly embarrassed and uncomfortable about his co-presenters remarks, and automatically shook his head in disgust.
Frei also cocked up the openings to his two bulletins that he anchored. Forgot which channel he was presenting on.
They should use Justin Webb or even Tanya Beckett for this co-presented slot.

Frie's just been on the Six O'Clock news here, in the UK, with metaphors of cancer and killing people relating to the middle east crisis.
I did like Ben Browns responce, abeit not entirely innocent himself - starting his peice early so viewers were treated to Ben mid-flow with no idea what he was on about, of 'Umm, yes' .
It was truely cringeworthy.

Anchors on The world (or the 2100 CET bulletin. whatever you want to call it) used to mention the channels on which the program was broadcast, saying "on BBC 4 in the UK and on BBCWorld, across the globe". but not any more. Has any one got an idea as to why that is? Is it still aired on both channels?
I've also noticed it was back to the good old sting for "Earth report". They have finally deemed it more appropriate and suitable than the horrible, corrosive one they introduced last year. Does one knows when exactly they switched back to the older one?
