If she read what the titles says it would be This is BBC World from BBC News LOL
The capital lettered "LOL" suggests you're even sadder than we thought you were.
Have you actually written in or called and told them? Or do you not think they do actually have better things to do than sort out some pedantic bullsh*t about the order of the words on their titles?

Rather different opening to the news a few days ago, and somewhat refreshing from the "This is BBC News from BBC World. I'm............" that normally appears.
Nisha Pillai also did World News Today on Friday. She is good and has a very unique style.

For the love of God, I am sick to death of reading this pedantic horsesh!t about the BBC World News titles.
The titles featuring BBC World on top and a smaller BBC News logo at the bottom are correct as they follow the branding conventions of BBC News programmes. Have a look at the titles for The World Today, Wales Today, Reporting Scotland, the Nationals, and even News 24's titles - they all have the programme name as the dominant title, subtitled by the BBC News brand. This used to be the convention for virtually all BBC News programmes, including the regional bulletins, Westminster Live, Despatch Box and others, but the relaxing of branding guidelines for BBC News programming now permits the absence of the BBC News logo at the bottom of the title sequence.
Many programmes still follow the convention.
Although it's true to say that during the 1999-2003 era, BBC World News previously had the BBC World logo below, I understand that this was adopted to ensure consistency between simulcasts; "BBC NEWS" was centred on the screen over the 24 logo:

and also centred on the simulcast titles:
http://thetvroom.com/old/images-bbcn24/miscel-2001/titles-b.jpg
and so to ensure consistency, the BBC News logo remained in the centre on the World titles, rather than being at the bottom where, by rights (according to the BBC News branding guidelines of the time), it should have been:

The fact that with the current graphics set, they have decided to maintain consistency by ensuring that the BBC News logo is at the bottom of the BBC World titles now does not make it incorrect. The BBC News logo has always been at the bottom as the 'umbrella' brand for all of its output, and its positioning at the bottom of the current BBC World titles - while different to how it was during the 1999-2003 era - is technically correct.

See? Admire the branding consistency (well, apart from the slightly squashed BBC News logo on the World titles, but let's gloss over that).
So in light of this, it would be really nice if certain members of the forum would put a god-damned sock in it, and shut the hell up instead of complaining about the logos being the wrong way around on the titles, because no-one gives a toss.

Listen I didn't know it was an offence to have a joke, but obviously in this place you get accused of being sad just saying LOL, also I don't give a **** about the fookin titles, I have no connection with the BBC, BBC World and couldn't careless, I care more about working hard in my job, earning a living, making ends meet etc. I just don't understand why even talking or even going near talking about titles gets such a snappy response, I wasn't even serious this time hence why I said LOL, I bet if I put a smilie, I would get an equally nasty response!
Seriously, I am a member of other forums, but in this forum, humour seems to be seriously lacking, ffs just take a chill pill OK!

The forum has, sadly, become a conduit for some members to ridicule and harrass other members. In fact, I have been keeping an eye on this - certain members ONLY post in the harrassment of other members, and DO NOT any longer contribute anything of value related to Television News presentation.
Having said that, there are a couple of highly accurate posts on this particular page relating to pres, and I am strongly excluding those from my general comments above.
Guys - let's not fight and let's stick to the subject matter.

Yes I agree BBC WORLD, firstly i'd like to apologise for my foul language reflected in my earlier post, but I felt extremely frustrated at James comments, simply because what was simply a light hearted joke was taken way out of context, this only happens when I go anywhere near talking about the BBC World titles, in this case it was nothing but a joke which is why I put LOL on it, so I was astonished (but not surprised) that the same forum members launch into yet another cruise missile attack, at least BBC LDN made intelligent reasoning behind his post for which I respect him for doing so, but I am really am pissed off, this is the only forum where you get such treatment and for what, for making a joke, it's just ridiculus! I am sorry if people do not agree with my comments above.

At TOTH just now (16:00 GMT), they didn't use the high wide straight after the titles - just a slightly off-centre low wide which was very similar to the one used in the Washington studio but of course it looked a lot better than the Washington one because the studio is a lot bigger! Hopefully they'll use that kind of shot more often. It was nice for a change (although it may have been an accident!).
