The World Newsnight edition looks like good fun- it is a great show, best of BBC journalism (even if it is a bit up itself).
Although from a presentation point of view the UK version of Newsnight I feel has a far superior set of titles.
Check them out here: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=83wbds1ZrfU
But titles aside still a great offering.

I notice BBC World's promo for Newsnight includes watermark images of the main presenters - Gavin Esler, Emily Maitlis and Jeremy Paxman. However, there is no image shown of Kirsty Wark. Is she no longer involved in the programme?

She was on Last Night when I was capping, i've also added a Newsnight section to TV Newsroom NZ

Just found this image on the www - it seems that Tanya Beckett and Manisha Tank recently presented an edition of TWT together. Anyone have any idea how recently it was?

My thanks to the owner for use of the link.

I don't know exactly, but it was definitely this year - on a Friday IIRC - at a guess, early/mid January.

The Fasttrack promo is on so often it makes my head hurt. It's shown every few minutes, it just makes me feel like switching channel during breaks.

Presenting the news directly from the place where it happens is a very good feature, but having Matt Frei freezing in a dark street of Cleveland, Ohio interviewing the Beijing correspondent and introducing a report from Turkey is just laughable. The BBC has been cutting expenses but it wouldn't cost that much to have someone in the Washington studio taking over from Matt Frei for the other news.

It isn't cost cutting - Matt is the main presenter of the show. Most of the US primetime network bulletins do the same - with the main presenter covering the top story from a relevant location but also continuing with the other news.
The theory is that the "main anchor" who often has their name in the programme title (i.e. "ABC Nightly News with Charles Gibson", not "ABC Nightly News" with the presenter who is presenting it that night) is who viewers turn on to see - and the viewer is sophisticated enough to cope with them reading the "rest of the days news" from the OB location.
The BBC have taken a different view for the UK domestic bulletins (and thus BBC World) historically - but that is because they usually have shows with just one main anchor, and normally have two or three, and none with their names in the programme titles.
"World News America with Matt Frei" is very much following the US Network model, not the UK model, hence Matt doing the entire show from location.

Well, I see the point but I still find it quite odd. It is also definitely not as authoritative to see a guy reading the news standing in an anonymous road somewhere rather than being in a news studio.
And Matt Frei's name is not so emphasised in the programme - the programme's name does not contain his name and World News America has been presented numerous times by Katty Kay and, i think, Philippa Thomas as well.
