Thanks for the cap. What an excellent and credible addition to World's programme portfolio. It's all good, apart from the headline sweep, which is far too americanised and generally terrible.

I find this rather long coverage of Prince Harry returning home with Brian Hanrahan's commentary might even be excessive to be shown on News 24. To do so on BBC World is absoulutely unreasonable.
It's a disgrace to hear Brian Hanhrahan say things like "He said he was looking forward to seeing a sofa".

I suppose it's reasonable Saturday filler material for N24 but on World it's debatable.

That's very bad news indeed. She was on air yeasterday, was that her last broadcast?

Hanrahan was uncharacteristically shambolic in today's live coverage from Brize Norton. Perhaps it was a directorial error, but Brian spoke in an altogether parochial manner, at times seemingly oblivious to the fact that he was broadcasting "live" to the entire planet via BBC World, who carried the arrival live.
This is oft the downside on occasions when BBC World and CNN International "dip-in" to their home-country domestic output. It all comes across as rather twee and pointless to the larger global audience. Fact.

What a great programme Newsnight is. The BBC should've granted us foreigners the high privilege of watching it a long time ago.
