Where was she based before becoming Teheran correspondent?

Colombo, Sri Lanka. She never wore a headscarf there either.

Thanks.
When I started watching BBC World in 2003 it was Jim Muir in Teheran. Since she became Teheran correspondent I've always felt I had seen her somewhere else but could never figure out where. By the way who is the correspondent in Teheran now?

So what will Frances be doing now? Domestic reporting like Caroline Hawley? (former Baghdad correspondent i think she was)

Maybe she will do programmes such as Today (R4) and Reporters (BBCW)?

I like Frances Harrison. Seems to know what she is talking about.

On another subject, I am pleased to see that Juliette Foster is continuing to appear as news anchor on World. I have said it once and will probably say it another million times, but I fail to see why Sky dispensed with her services.

She is incredibly knowledgeable on every subject and can easily carry a broad spectrum of stories, from light-hearted to incredibly serious. I recall her solo anchoring the Asian Tsunami disaster on Sky a few years ago. She was incredible. Highly intelligent woman.

I recorded bits and pieces from The World Today this morning and is it just obvious that BBC World's camera colour balance is all bad again? Its not a major problem but sometimes its quite obvious.

I guess it ain't as bad as previously when everyone was pink.

They didn't turn on the lights on the other side, it was very dark when they handed over to Sally Bundock lol, they need to move to News 24's set and quick!

Jane Hill making an unexpected appearance behind the BBC World newsdesk today. It's been years since I have seen Jane on World "proper", i.e. not a simulcast event with N24.

I hope this doesn't mean she's moving over to World. Shocked

Also Mike Embley does that, although definitely not as often as Jonathan Charles. I don't mind it though.
