Agreed. The 2000-2007 look was much better and didn't need changing. I sometimes think the BBC changes things just for the sake of it. They had better not touch the WBR music - despite being from the 1997 flags era, it is still brilliant.
Hmm, I think it was long over due for a change, and to cortomaltese if you watch the titles youll see that music does fit with the titles.

I actually don't think it looks good at all... It's just a mess. Colours, music, graphics... nothing matches with anything.

Well, it just doesn't match with the rest of the news programmes. All titles on BBC World have always been authoritative while this is just a psychadelic mess, it just doesn't fit with the channel IMO.

But surely that will just be N8 as it stands with a lick of paint?
In my opinion N6 should be the one closing and the nationals all move to N8 (N24) insted of different nationals in different studios with breakfast in TC7 and N9 stay were it is.N24 looks so Dud and cheap in N6 its unbeleivable I beleive one viewer e-maild newswatch a few months ago and asked why all of the computers and lights were on,but it was the static N6 backdrop.

Tim Willcox is on World duty this afternoon and is doing an excellent job anchoring the Breaking News from Pakistan. (Except when a studio guest turned out NOT to be who Tim was told it was, and he mistakenly introduced the guest, only to be corrected by the guest himself. Don't worry - it was'n't Guy Coma!)
Tim prefers to remind us we are watching BBC News, as opposed to BBC World. As he makes reference to the upcoming programmes, it is clear that we are NOT simulcasting with News 24.
I can see why you N24 gurus like Tim - he is calm and collected.

He's OK when he's anchoring on his own, but he's pretty dreadful with a co-presenter. He constantly talks over them and seems to always want to take the lead.

He's an unsung hero, full stop. Clearly loves it too - it's obviously no co-incidence that the first Saturday in a long time he isn't needed to cover any N24 slots, as everyone is there who should be - so he turns up on World. It's clearly a matter of choice that he does so much work and spends so much time there. He's one of the best.

cant stand him he puts down other presenters and is quick to correct his co if she does anything wrong, one of the most recewnt stupid things was stopping anita mcveigh mid sentence to say it was his line a PROFFESSIONAL wouldnt do that, you just have to look at his tv newsroom QandA and he acts as if he has been key main rolls in films, like someone said on here a few weeks ago the beeb probably have him because he is cheap and in-experienced.
