Think N6 meets the "old" DC set.

Yuck, I don't see why they need to change the set anyway.

Let me rephrase that. I'd say it's somewhat like a mixture of the NY set, but with a bit of N6/TC7, with the current layout of the DC set.

Watching Martine Dennis on the morning shift reminds me of the fact that I have been watching her on BBC World for probably eleven years now, and she is still as good now as she was then.

However, she still has that tendency to bob up and down on her seat at the beginning and end of every sentence. Many years ago on World (first flags era - 1996), there was a daily programme called Newsday. The main presenters were Philip Hayton and Lindsey Brancher. However, on occasion, Melinda Wittstock would also anchor the programme, with Martine Dennis co-presenting.

Melinda and Martine were both bobbers!! It was quite amusing to watch. But nonetheless, excellent news presentation and an era that I would welcome back any time.

World are in N6 (I think) this afternoon. And an appearance from a rather tired looking Peter Dobbie. Haven't seen him for months.

No intro music on this edition, just after the headlines. Straight to the presenter for the first story.

I noticed this hour they are still in N6, or TC7

The SNT Three
TC7, it must be, as the national news is currently on.

The lady in all the BBC World countdowns is presenting the news tonight. Looks like her anyway and I've never seen her present.

Can you post a cap, Damo? I am intrigued to see who it is you are referring to.

Also, has Carol Smillie and the team from Changing Rooms been into the BBC World newsroom in the last couple of days? I am seeing a lot more red wall in the newsroom behind Peter Dobbie last night. Either that, or a very different principal camera angle is being used instead of the normal head-on shot. A lot more red wall over Peter's right shoulder.

Just curious. Perhaps thats why they were in TC7 on saturday.

Yeah, and was it me, or was there a green hue around the presenter's face. I know it's not a temp set, but it was quite noticable.

I notice something too. The studio has lots of red. And the camara position is different. The camara looks like it is up higher and looking down at the presenter. They made the changes over the weekend. The red looks like World news today ident. Just like the globe. Also the lower back of the presenter on the glass looks very bright and red.
