I wonder why we have never seen Caroline Hawley throughout this month of Middle East crisis -at least I have never seen here. Wasn't she supposed to be one of the Jerusalem based correspondents?

May I distance myself from James Hall who is annoying.

What I wonder about with BBC World is, how come there's always something being talked about in N24's thread, and yet there's never anything here?

Whilst I appreciate the (forum) audience is smaller surely they must also experiement with the way they do news and pres and stuff like News 24?

Whilst I may be rude about the contributers to this thread, on account of having an immense dislike of certain cat murdering ones in particular, I find it hard to believe the only thing worth discussing is rotas. This must be evidence of nothing happening on the channel.

So what actually happens? Is it day in day out the same? We never get caps of the international studios in use either. The old washington studio was a particularly fab thing but didn't get capped enough.

You've hit the nail on the head, Hymagumba. BBC World does not experiment as much as News 24. Basically, every day is the same...except for the rota of presenters! That's probably why it gets discussed so much. It's also made worse by the fact that there aren't many forum members capable of watching BBC World and hardly any of them have TV capturing capabilities. I used to have a TV card but got rid of it when I bought a new PC.

I can capture BBC World anytime I like and if anyone wants to see anything all they have to do it ask. It can't be that hard.

I'd rather see World News Today coming from the usual studio. The studio they use is small, dark, the graphics are cheap and definitely not appealing (the "World News Today with George Alagiah" one at the beginning is really terrible) and also the sting looks old and its colours don't mach at all with the rest of the graphics.
And seeing presenters standing just makes me wanna scream "sit down".
And well, look!, Manisha's sitting now actually...

Is it me or has the lighting changed a bit? It looks odd, also theres a white keyboard on the desk now!

Yes please. I'd like to see some captures of these "feature programmes" and of the other studios they use.

N9 has been seen loads in the UK but the only other set we seem to see the the brussels "bus shelter that happened to have a red stripe" one

Enquiring minds want to know! She hasn't turned up here in the UK either, whether on TV or radio.
