And did Lucy & Mishal switch (because I saw Mishal on TWT while Lucy taking over Mishal's bulletins, May 30 & 31)?

I think it was Lucy, it looked like she had a fake tan yesterday and she was wearing an orange jacket so it didnt look to obvious.

And she just looked gorgeous.

With me being rather observant I noticed BBC Worlds lighting/camera colour settings has changed a tad, the single presenter shot looks more natural coloured but the other shots are sorta greeny looking. I thought I would post some caps of the difference if anyone cares!

Top, A few days ago.. and bottom, just this hour.

I think the desk's about to blow up in the bottom row. Johnny clearly feels the need to keep pushing down on the top to prevent any damage to the set.

the white balance must have gone off those old BBC World cameras!

With the camera in near constant use, they should also be doing a semi regular black balance, as well as a regular white balance

That's Julian Marshall. He was a presenter on BBC World Service Television when it launched in 1991. I think he then moved to BBC World Service Radio. He made that very brief appearance on BBC World again a couple of years ago.

I saw an old video cap of him in TV Ark (dated 1992?). I didn't recognize (in the picture) it was him. He looked so young (40's) before. Now I think he's in his 60's now.

Q: On the overnight shift of World and N24, the main DOG of World is used. When did they first use the main World DOG for the overnight GMT bulletins?

That was the biggest cock-up I have ever seen on the opening of a BBC World news bulletin. No intro. Incorrect shots. Frozen images. Irrelevant images. Stumbling anchors. Wrong images again. Frozen images again..........

They are having incredibly bad problems on World tonight. Just about every film is failing and even the intro to the next programme (Sport Today) also crashed. Graphics and VT failed miserably. Had to go to the presenter (David Garrido) in vision to announce the headlines.

Now, David Garrido has just handed to a report, which played (sound only) but David remains in vision and looked as frustrated as the rest of us.

Football scorecard just posted on screen, but horseracing film playing behind it, instead of the usual generic graphic.

The problem must have been so serious, they did a bulletin in Newsnight's studio TC7 I think, even then they were mixing between Big Ted and Virtz, and Virtz graphics were doing some funny things like animating right to left lol

Where is 'World's' main studio (N9) located relative to 'News 24's' studio (NCool in Television Centre? Are they in the same floor? Howabout the set used for World Business Report, Sport Today and World News Today? If it's a separate studio, what name is given to it?

WBR and Sport Today's set is just right IN FRONT of the main desk.

EDIT: Damo, you're right! There are more versions of WNT coming. But who'll be the anchors (aside from George Alagiah and Zeinab Badawi)? Nik Gowing and Jonathan Charles? Or maybe someone else will front any of these 2 bulletins? Scratch Head

Nik Gowing will present the 4pm edition which launches at the end of the month. The 3am one based at the US will be a three-way between Washington (Philippa Thomas), London (Overnight presenter) and the Singapore business bureau. That will launch in September.

Actually I would prefer the 3.00 UK time edition of WNT replace The World Today (seen at 5.00 UK). This is so that the programme can be available to breakfast European viewers. So does this mean that the 3.00 edition will be available on 'News 24'?
