Why can't you be sure about the sport segment? I hate how BBC World stops doing sport and biz updates so early.

I wouldn't say that. Yes, the updates during the news bulletins cease overnight (having said that, are they that valuable? You don't learn much from them) but there are still editions of WBR and Sport Today which provide much more detailed coverage of their respective areas than the updates during bulletins.

I recall that during the "prevoius studio era" sport segments were inluded in bulletins after "The World" but done by the news presenter.

Well I understand and appreciate that BBCWorld is trying to unifrom its bulletins thus becoming more global, but I always liked the fact that daytime bulletins are busier than the ones throughout the night, hosted by only one presenter. But of course that's a very European way to see it.

I have 2 questions: Who's this presenter?

And did Lucy & Mishal switch (because I saw Mishal on TWT while Lucy taking over Mishal's bulletins, May 30 & 31)?

That's Julian Marshall. He was a presenter on BBC World Service Television when it launched in 1991. I think he then moved to BBC World Service Radio. He made that very brief appearance on BBC World again a couple of years ago.

They swapped shifts, it happens, either Lucy or Mishal had commitments during their normal hours so they swapped. I think it was Lucy, it looked like she had a fake tan yesterday and she was wearing an orange jacket so it didnt look to obvious.

And that cap was from September last year I think.

With me being rather observant I noticed BBC Worlds lighting/camera colour settings has changed a tad, the single presenter shot looks more natural coloured but the other shots are sorta greeny looking. I thought I would post some caps of the difference if anyone cares!

Top, A few days ago.. and bottom, just this hour.

I prefer the top ones myself, the newsroom looks nicer...

Edit: Does he only have one pink shirt?

I think (hope) he must have a dozen or so pink shirts. I have also been reminded today of just how professional Juliette Foster is as an anchor.

I think the desk's about to blow up in the bottom row. Johnny clearly feels the need to keep pushing down on the top to prevent any damage to the set.

LOL. True! Mr. Charles loves doing press-ups on that desk!

Lyse Doucet is really a great presenter. However, I am concerned that Egon Cosseau would be condemned as a highly inflammable fire hazard, should he be subject to inspection by the London Fire Brigade.
