Generic titles should have been generated by TOG. I gather the fact they didn't is due to bugs in the software upgrade recently.

I've noticed that after they played out the News 24 titles during the first overnight after the TOG upgrade, that they have been using the pre-rendered generic titles.

The World studio is in the same area as the usual BBC World News studio. The cameras are just turned round. Its more than likely that The World was covering something more in depth that would not really appeal to international viewers. This has happened before.

I thought they no longer had to turn the cameras round, becuse the World presentation area is used for the Business on BBC World Bulletins now.

No it's not - the business updates come from the main set. Only World Business Report and Sport Today programmes come from the second set, as well, of course, as The World.
