A BIG thank you to BBC WORLD NEWS for giving all Alastair Yates' fans the pleasing opportunity to watch our favourite News Presenter doing a decent number of shifts over the last two weeks. Keep it up!
Well done too, on the Gaza conflict reports and especially well done to Ben Brown and Lyse Doucet. I thought the BBC reporting was objective and balanced UNLIKE ALL the other international tv news stations which I watched : Sky ; CNNI; Aljazeera: Euronews and Russia Today.

No. Owen presented that shift last Thursday morning, 8th January. I would like to see him and Alastair Yates share that early morning Breakfast shift - not together but consecutively. I dig Jonathan Charles but I find him too abrasive for the early morning shift. David Eades is also another good voice for early in the day. Charles should be on later in the day (just like Zeinab Bedawi) when one can appreciate their throbbing, virulent , penetrative styles.

Owen Thomas on World News this morning at 5am (UK Time) - is that his first appearance at that time slot?

Aljazeera has been as objective and balanced as BBC World News and sometimes even more accurate and informative.
Seeing Euronews in the black list is also a bit odd, but I haven't been watching it much so I can't really say.
