Navdip Dhariwal is back behind the World desk again today. She has become very confident and relaxed, compared to her initial stints earlier in the year.

It seems they have changed the displays in the Washington set from landmarks across the country to landmarks around WCD.
It isn't as polished as the main montage, they should just use a stars and stripes graphic.

The idents they used for the elections was very good.
Also, the fact that they put almost all of the BBC's presenters all over America was very intresting.

Has anyone watched this video from the election coverage?
Here it is

Lots of juggling around on World this week. Nisha Pillai has done almost a full week. Mishal Husain was found in a much later slot than normal. Peter Dobbie's tie changed from bright pink to dark blue today between one bulletin and the next, and........a strange face did the morning segments of WBR alongside Martine Dennis. If I am not mistaken, it was a name like Samantha Spilling, or something like that..........

They have no consistancy, everyone is doing everything, plus they changed the schedule and there are 2 WNT in a row.

I enjoy seeing Tim Wilcox on the newshour with whoever the second anchor is.

Yes Samantha Spilling known to the rest of us as Susannah Streeter of Breakfast fame.

She was just awful. Looking at the wrong camera, pregnant pauses in the middle of sentences, wrong emphasis on words, correcting herself repeatedly when she bugg.ered up, and a terrible interviewing style.

Real car-crash TV.

EDIT: Seriously, why the hell is the word "bugg.ered" censored on the forum? If they can get away with saying "fart" and "crap" on EastEnders, surely we can be treated like adults here and not patronised by this irritating censorship? Can I claim that I've got Tourette's and insist that this is some kind of breach of my human rights? P!SS. See, there it goes again.

LOL, James. Samantha Spilling is nowhere close to Susannah Streeter. I was clearly having a male-blonde moment there!! Sorry for the ghastly cock-up and thanks for the correction.

I agree LDN - she wasn' t all that good actually.
