BBC World News was doing very well today. Theirs been no mistakes, and everything has been running very smoothly. Also i think that Lucky Hockings and Jonathan Charles make a great pair when presenting together.

What a pleasant overnights viewing on World tonight. Firstly, Biden and Palin going head to head, overviewed by Matt Frei and Katty Kay. Intersperced by news bulletins from London, presented by the one and only Doily!
Prior to that, excellent hours of news with Tanya Beckett, minus the glasses and fake boobs!
And todays TWT is presented by Martine Croxall and Sara Coburn. Long time no see, Sara. She remains fantastic.
Also, what's the purpose of the new edition presented by Mike Embley and entitled "For BBC World News and PBS Viewers globally"?

BBC Four had a bit of an odd start, and had a BBC World News DOG and Ticker for the first 30 seconds

BBC News are waiting for Pres. Bush to start a press conference. BBC World is carrying the coverage for both BBC News channel and themselves. Wonder if BBC Four can go on its own?

I think that edition, which if memory serves airs at 11pm UK, 6pm ET, is taken by PBS stations in the US. That edition is often recorded and aired alongside the PBS Newshour with Jim Lehrer.

Where is the Business Edition of WNT coming from tonight? Is it the Washington studio? There's a rather odd bucolic sight of the US capital on the background.
