Yes, whilst the whole point of freelance allows one to work in various locations, it is strange to see the same presenter being used by two directly opposite rivals in the business.
However, I like Owen. Nice to see him back again at BBCW after all these years.
Owen has done a fantastic job tonight anchoring 4 hours continuous coverage of the Pakistan bomb blast. He has been very much at home. I know he broadcasts rolling coverage daily on another channel, but I am sure there are (more than) subtle differences between BBC and CNN production.
Once again, why should it fit with the channel brand? I can think of tons of programmes on World and News Channel that don't suit the channel brand, so what?
Just watched a programme called "Schools Out" on BBC World. The voice of the narrator was familiar, so I deliberately watched the credits to find out it was Mike Baker - "Consultant and Narrator". It was the same Mike Baker who was (is?) BBC Education Correspondent. Is he still with the BBC?
Further down the credits, the Executive Producers were outed as "Richard Wilson and Anya Sitaram". Now we know where Anya has got to!! Does anyone know if the Richard Wilson is THE Richard Wilson (Victor Meldrew)?

Anya sitaram still presents some bbc world news occasionally as I saw her not so long ago on holiday I am sure she did an overnight aswell a few months ago.

No. It's the former BBC Enviroment Correspondent Richard Wilson. I think Anya is Mrs Wilson but I may be wrong on that.

Think Mike Baker left a while ago - he was very well respected on education matters, as he really knew his stuff.
