Thanks for those caps and I entirely agree with your comments. BBC World (News) is just about "perfect" right now (touches wooden desktop whilst typing) and I am enjoying almost every aspect of the pres at the moment. I wouldn't, however, propose that Zeinab Badawi's slot is taken away. Her style and interviewing technique is splendid. Nisha's is too, but it's a totally different style.

Dunno about anyone else but I find these double headers are really good and they really bring out a presenters personality, someone which we don't see much of when its solo.

I first thought today that Martine would be a bit 'meh' but from what I saw of her with Peter, they were both fantastic.

Some more caps...

Martine and Peter were regularly paired together on BBC Newshour and The World Today, back in the mid to late nineties eras on BBC World (Flags 1 and Flags 2).

Peter would be quite a regular stand-in then as lead anchor and Martine was often alongside him as co-anchor.

It was nice (and somewhat nostalgic for some of us) to see them reunited on screen today, actually. I hope it is a regular occurence.

As for the return of the Ice Maiden - let's cross our fingers, Damo!

Yeah BBC World News just looks a millions time better than dull and plain BBC News, where they have their presenters superglued to their chairs in that dull and fake shoebox of a set.

Although noticed some bizarre things happening with the photographs in the news part of the breakfiller, the photos sometimes are too big, it either goes underneath the text or in todays case blocked out the headline title!

Agreed - BBC World are by far the leaders at BBC News. I think they've made a monumental f+ck up in moving News 24 to a non newsroom studio. Months after the refresh, I am as unconvinced as I was back then. BBC World have really hit home with this new look. Spot on!

I'd forgotten how bad Kirsty Lang is until today! She is terrible, constant mispronunciations, never corrects herself, always stumbling on her words, and her annoying voice does not help!

Whilst I'd usual rate Kirsty, today's WNT was awful from the off. She corrected her nearly five times during the headlines and, as you mention, it seemed constant mispronounciations were the order of the day.

Nice to see Brian on the other side though...

Yes, Louisa Baldini was on yesterday, followed by Peter Dobbie, who announced during his final bulletin that "Maryam Moshiri was coming to look after us through the next hours here on BBC World News."

Wow.

Mr. Jamie Robertson anchoring the news on BBC World News, although he forgot where he was, welcoming all of us to "BBC World".

I've always liked Jamie Robertson a lot, let's see how he fits in this new role.
