BBC World News: Presentation

BBC Arabic's take on the new BBC News look will be interesting, their studio has glass seperating the newsroom and desk, as well as a big screen like BBC World News.

agree, for the 1st time BBCWN beat AJE on most breaking news today (exc: Afghan blast, for a few minutes)

is it taking up *all* that space? I was under the impression they'd reduced the curves in that area and were using part of the office behind that had previously been empty to allow the projector to throw onto the wall.

I don't know , but it looks exactly the right size to me.

just from the caps you can tell BBC World looks a lot better and livelier then the News Channel, this is what the News Channel should have done!

excluding the "soft area," from the look of it they made the studio rectangular or something, but much better than the rectangular shoebox of the NC.

In regard to the calls about the aerial shots weren't people grumbling about the tractor cam in N8 before yet now it's gone and people are still grumbling. Personally I'd like to see an aerial shot but it seems that you can't have one in that set without the tractor cam.

the cameras are so much sharper in N8, I always used to hate those blurry shots when they were in N9, BTW whats going to happen to N9? will it be used as an emergency news studio?

I don't see anyone grumbling about the tractor cam? I know that I was asking why they weren't showing aerial shots . I know the situation now so I'm happy!

i love the effect they've used there with the world graphic on the main screen to the interview on World News Today, BBC News Channel are back in the presentational dumps again.

They do it for every live cross... that I've seen anyway.
