It zooms in to the location of the Live cross.

I think the wall shot should be close like this all the time, we can actually see the presenter! I also think the Business during the News should end with Markets on the wall like they used too.

I'm pretty sure the desk has been redone, it looks alot better than when News 24 occupied N8. It also looks like theres been some frosted class added inside the desk behind the red because it looks blurry and we can't see Mishal's legs.

on programming note... i've noticed that Talking Movies has now been downgraded TOTALLY as a segment for WNT, before they still show TM as a programme but now it's totally gone... but think the last time i see it was 2mnths ago... please correct me if i'm wrong.

The presenter rota is a bit strange now:

0500: Jonathan Charles
0600: Jonathan Charles
0700: Jonathan Charles
0800: David Eades
0900: Lucy Hockings
1000: David Eades & Lucy Hockings
1100: David Eades
1200: George Alagiah (WNT)
1300: Lucy Hockings
1400: Mishal Husain (WNT)
1500: Mishal Husain
1600: Mishal Husain

There's too much chopping and changing between 8.00am and 2.00pm. I think it would be better like this:

0800: David Eades
0900: David Eades
1000: David Eades & Lucy Hockings
1100: Lucy Hockings
1200: George Alagiah (WNT)
1300: Lucy Hockings

They're still each presenting 2 bulletins along with the Newshour but there's less chopping and changing.

I also think they should reduce the number of WNT programmes, if not scrap it altogether and replace them with double-headed Newshours. There's little (or no) difference between BBC News and WNT now and I'd much sooner have dual presentation - it brings the channel alive.

although this could only happen in my imagination, i wonder if BBCWN can filter down programmes like WNT-South Asia only to be shown in their India-Mideast feed... so that WNT will be lowered down.

Well done, BBC World News. I feel that this set is now the best of the ENTIRE output of all BBC tv News programming. Congratulations.

In the old News 24 set, when it occupied the old space - what was in the space on the other side of the left screen - in the space now where the large videowall is?

Was there space there all the time?

Yes, it's been so strange to see so many breaking news. i guess this is couse all of their operations are now in one newsroom.

BBC World looks fresh, modern and everything is amazing, It is also now a real rolling news channel.
