How's Business and Sport presented? Still from the desk?
Where does WNT come from? Do they just use the main desk as the other bulletins?

I'd love to see some images if anyone has been busy capturing Wink

Am I right in saying that David presented from 08:00 GMT, with Lucy from 09:00 and then they teamed up for the double headed at 10:00? Have there been any other rota changes?

Sorry for all the questions...not able to view the channel myself! Sad

WBR and Sport Today are presented from the 'Newswall' however the 5.30BST WBR was from the desk.

Not sure on Business and Sport during bulletins 100% but I think just from the Newswall.

Yes, David 8am, Lucy 9am, Both 10 - 11then David again.

I can probably get a video up of a normal bulletin and then Nik's WNT later.

I think the modifications they've done to the old News 24 studio are fantastic. Why couldn't they do something like this for the BBC News Channel?

BBC World News is far superior looking now.

Ok, I like desks, and I completely agree that without desks presenters do seem rather stupid and the channel looses authority, in particular if the presenters stand during the opening sequence and the main news -although our voyeuristic curiosity of finding out the actual presenters' heights is satisfied.

A part from that I think that overall the changes are a big improvement. But from what I've seen in the video caps it looks like the studio has become even brighter. I found the former studio too bright already, now it looks blinding and the white-red contrast is very aggressive. I find slightly darker sets, like the one BBC World used until 2004, much more appropriate.

at the last part of WNT East Asia, she interviewed the BBC environment corr., and guess where... on the "soft area." composed of 2 (more comfortable) chairs, a baby desk w/laptop and another projector, i think that's where jonathan presents the headlines at 0400 GMT.

Being very picky, I think it should also be pointed out that every Japanese character should rotate 90 degrees counterclockwise.

I don't think its brighter.

One thing that bothers me is no pans/aerial shots after the titles. Here are some caps from the last 2 seconds of WNT and Mishals normal bulletin now.

That looks a heck of a lot like the Aljaz news centres.

I think the soft area is wonderful! Nice use of the projector screens.

Does that world map on the videowall do anything?
