Nice first shot! lol at Jonathan and Sally, they are so short!

I think they've moved the railing higher up than it used to be Laughing

Looks rather nice in those shots. It'll be interesting to see what they've done with the rest of the set.

Has anyone else noticed there is an awful echo from the new studio. Sounds rubbish.

Jonathan is quite short too! I remember when he was sitting on the old curvy WNT desk, he looked like a little kid with his legs no way near the ground!

From those caps the set looks great. A nice evolution of the old News 24 set into something modern.

Hopefully I'll be able to have a proper look when I go abroad in a weeks time and have the chance to watch some of World in the hotel room.

The double-anchoring bulletin with David and Lucy seems to be working well for now, feels like CNN's YWT but good move. Very Happy

minor cock-up on the cameras at the start... darn 2 presenters look great beside the wall

I wonder how long it is until a presenter stands up from the desk, gets caught in all the laptop cables and walks away dragging everything with it!

I love all of this, it's like a new channel.

Moment ago we had David & Lucy standing and he is so short. Laughing Laughing Laughing

BBC presenters talking to each other, looking at each other, now that's a revolution. I LOVE IT

Don't know if they did that last TOTH, but the way they used the screen just then with the 'clear' map (with the newroom in the background supposedly showing through) and the correspodent appearing to the left of it really did look stunning. Almost made me forgive them for making Jonathan Charles look stupid and awkward stanind next to the screen...

And just how exactly was Jonathan Charles supposed to be looking 'awkward and stupid'? Do you really mean 'stupid'? Really, the content of this forum is becoming tiresome and juvenile.

Haha, I thought the 'shift' of the world map over the virtual newsroom towards the location was cool too.

Yeah what was that all about? I was just saying that I think presenters look stupid standing in front of a big screen because it's ridiculously self conscious and pretentious. I'm sorry if you thought I was insulting Mr Charles' intelligence, which, as we all know, is superior.

Meanwhile they're having some technical problems with both VTR playback, and just finding the right camera shots to accomdate two people at the desk, and the sports reporter by the screen. Who looks stupid. Standing there. Laughing
