"It's great that so many of you took the time out to comment on the new look and the new name of the channel, thank you. It's also a relief to hear that on the whole you like the changes! What we have now is a brand that fits in with all the different parts and programmes that BBC News as a whole offers (both internationally, in the UK and online) and the hope is that this consistency will make it easier for viewers to find and recognise our content. Your feedback does really matter, for instance, as a result of comments received I'm going to be revisiting some of the colours within our promotions to make sure that they are easier to read.. Look out for the new studio, which is coming within a month and do please continue to feed back on any area of the brand, look an style of the channel, it's really useful to get real peoples' opinions! Thanks again."

I just saw ITV Sport pictures on Sport Today for the Spain v Sweden match, is BBC World allowed to take pictures from a UK broadcaster, I thought they had to source their pictures from somewhere else.

The breakfiller is nothing to do with the news gallery as it's played out by Red Bee Media, so even after the move from N9 to 8, I suspect you'll be disappointed if you're expecting major improvements between programmes and around the breaks.

I have been wondering though whether the fact that the Coming Up menu in the breakfiller still hasn't been fixed is an indication that there are some other changes about to be rolled out... new music perhaps? I was surprised that LN didn't get David Lowe to create some music for the breakfiller that better meshes with the overall channel sound - just as they did in 1999...

The cameras look a lot sharper today, and just before a report, there is a white glow off the autocue, but its not as noticeable now.

Hmm I noticed that too but its still 'off' and off balanced, like before Peter looked normal then extremely tanned...

I've just seen a trailer on BBC World for yet ANOTHER World News Today coming soon! This time with Mishal Husain. This is getting too much now. One or two per day was enough, but 6 per day is ridiculous. The channel was much better before all these WNT programmes launched, in my opinion. You knew that whenever you tuned in, there was going to be a 25-minute bulletin of BBC News. Now, there are so many different bulletins it's anybody's guess. When the relaunch happened in April, the BBC were talking about 'coherence' - if anything, it's becoming less coherent.

LOL, is the gallery being upgraded as well?

Interesting that some of the screens are still in use!
There's been no studio output for a while now, but I notice that it's back on today. I've not seen much on it so far, but there's some new bits of set in broadly the same layout as before, a new, wide projection screen (possibly two 4:3 ones lined up side-by side) inside a chunky gunmetal grey frame, and a stepladder. I presume the stepladder isn't permanent. Smile

It's a new feature. The presenter climbs up the stepladder. How high they get depends on how important the news is.

I wish the "Ice Maiden" would return to BBC World News actually. Sorely missed.

James, she can still be seen on Fox News reporting from Baghdad I think.
